A little update

I know I haven't really paid a lot of attention to this blog ever since I changed its name. It's just that there have been so many other things keeping me busy.

I decided that I want to study History at the University of Amsterdam. But because I have the necessary  diplomas I have to do a Colloquium Doctum, which is a test you can take when you're 21 years or older. So first I had to send lots of documents to the University to be able to do the CD, but stuff got send back because something was incomplete blah blah blah... It has given me a lot of stress.

I finally got my iMac, but that didn't go as planned either. When I ordered it at the Apple reseller they said it would take about 3 weeks. I ended up waiting two months. So finally I picked it up from the store, unpacked it, turned it on and... something was not right. After a few minutes it shut down. Turned it on again, it shut down again. So I had to take it back to the store (my parents had to drive me back and forth to Zwolle so many times in one month) and thank god it was just a simple thing and it got fixed at the store. This also gave me a lot of stress.

Then a while ago I got a pet bunny. She was the cutest little thing ever, but she turned out to not be healthy and died after a week. I was completely heartbroken. Two weeks later I was able to think about getting a new bunny. So now I have Hunter. He's a healthy, happy, fluffy bunny. Really, he's the cutest  thing ever!

And the last ting I have to complain about, like everyone else in The Netherlands: the weather is horrible! It's supposed to be spring. It has finally stopped snowing, but now there's such a heavy cold wind, it's very unpleasant. I want summer! I don't want to wear coats anymore. I want to go outside in shorts, a t-shirt and a jacket.

Ok this is the end of my rant. But this is my blog anyway so I can rant as much as I want!
Hahahaha

LIGHTS at Dynamo Eindhoven

I saw LIGHTS back in September(wow can't believe so long ago already, feels more like two months ago). She performed at Dynamo Eindhoven. And damn, all the way to Eindhoven is a long train journey, but ofcourse totally worth it!

As soon as I found out LIGHTS was gonna perform in The Netherlands I counted down the days til tickets went on sale. I had been waiting so long for her to come here! I started listening to her music a couple of years ago, when her debut album had just been released. I've played that album, The Listening, over and over again. Then her second album came out and it was even better!

The concert was really good. And I was standing almost front row, so I could get some really great shots. This was kind of the first time for me doing concert photography and oh my god I love doing it so much! I think my photos turned out really good(thanks to my zoom lens, love you forever Nikon). I just kinda kept adjusting the ISO and shutter speed to the lighting.

Here some of my favourite photos. You can view all my photos, in full size, on my flickr.

Pin curls and pastels

I took these pictures about half a year ago and obviously I used one of them for my current blog layout. Been experimenting with in curls for quite some time, but it is quite hard because I have such thick long hair and it gets really frizzy. But I still thinks it looks cute! My hair curls very easily(which I'm very happy about) so when I do pin curls my hair looks much shorter.

The crop top I'm wearing is from New Yorker and the skirt is from Topshop.
